Interesting thought

John Assaraf (author of The Secret) posted this on Facebook today. I thought you would enjoy it.

There are three things that you cannot recover in life: (1) The Word..............after it is said, (2) The Occasion......after it is missed, (3) Time............after it is gone. Choose your words kindly, your occasions on purpose and every moment as if it was your last.

Roger's weekend tip

"The secret of getting things done is to act!"

Dante Alighieri, poet

Can you believe it? The Holidays are around the corner. Soon people will be shopping and preparing for all the festivities.

But remember, this is also the time to put your lead generating systems into high gear for three reasons:

1) A lot of your competition will get caught up in the festivities and slack off leaving you more opportunities.

2) The leads you find over the holidays will most likely be very serious prospects. If they are looking now they have to buy. If they are listed now, they have to sell.

3) The prospects you find now, become the first settlements of the new year.

There are plenty of reasons to connect with your sphere and make new acquaintances over the holidays. Take advantage of it. Ask for the referral. Ask for the business.

Have a great and productive weekend.

"If you go through life convinced that your way is always best, all the new ideas in the world will pass you by."

Akio Morita Sony Co-Founder

You just have to look around the office to see that successful agents hunger for knowledge. They attend every class that is available to them.  They don’t take a continuing education class for the credit, they take it for the knowledge. They attend seminars of national speakers. They observe others who are successful and implement their ideas. They are coachable. But more than anything else, they apply what they learn and learn to perfect it.

There is no better time than the present to sign up for more education.

Have a great and productive weekend!

"I didn't get where I am by thinking about it or dreaming it. I got there by doing it."

Estee Lauder – Cosmetic Business Owner

To reach your goal you must implement your plan. Start with the first step and go on to the next step. Before you know it you will be ¼ the way there, then half way there, then ¾ there and then… Sounds elementary but if you don’t take that first step, you’ll stay behind.

A good first step is to make calls to your sphere to tell them about the extension of the housing credit, then ask for a referral. Another first step would be to hold an open house and talk to all the neighbors beforehand inviting them to the open, then ask them for a referral. You know what to do. Take that first step now.

Have a great and prosperous weekend!

Roger's weekend tip

"All who have accomplished great things have had a great aim and have fixed their gaze on a goal that is high - one that sometimes seems impossible."

Orison Swett Marden – Writer

This week we talked about setting goals and writing a business plan to achieve them. Anything is possible as long as you execute your plan. Your plan should be as detailed as you plan your vacations (what you do when and where). Put it in the calendar format (see me for a copy) so you can review it every day. I don’t know who said: “If you review your plan daily, you will adjust your work to meet your goals. If you review your plans monthly, you will adjust your goals to meet your work.” Success is a persistent step by step process that you are all capable of.

Take the time to work on your plan.

Have a great and productive weekend!
